Is the Health Insurance Marketplace the same as Obamacare?
Yes. “Obamacare” is the popular name for the system created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which expanded access to health insurance through Marketplace plans. We are not affiliated with the government or HealthCare.gov.
How much does health insurance cost?
It depends on the plan, your age, the state you live in, and your personal situation, so we do not publish prices—any figure given without reviewing your case would be misleading. What we do is explain how the cost is built: premium, deductible, copays, and out-of-pocket maximum.
Can I do everything in Spanish?
Yes. The first conversation, plan comparison, and follow-up can all happen in Spanish. Many people search for “aseguranza” or “aseguranza médica”—it means the same as health insurance. We also help in English.
When is Open Enrollment for health insurance?
Marketplace Open Enrollment happens each year in late fall and determines coverage that takes effect in January. HealthCare.gov publishes the exact dates, and they can change from year to year, so it is worth confirming them before you plan.
Can I seek coverage outside Open Enrollment?
Certain life changes may qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period. Rules and dates can change, so it is important to validate your situation with official sources and a professional.
Why can my plan price change from one year to the next?
Premiums and any financial assistance are recalculated every year, and your age, income, county, or changes to the plan itself also matter. If your situation changed or your plan auto-renewed, it is worth reviewing before the new year starts.
Does using an agent increase the plan price?
We do not charge clients an additional fee for our guidance as an agent. Before you move forward, we explain any costs associated with the option you are considering.
Do you work with small business owners?
Yes. We review options for the owner, their family, and small teams without traditional employee benefits. What applies depends on team size and business structure, so we start by understanding your situation.
In which states do you provide service?
Our agency’s experience spans 44 states across the nation where the ACA operates under federal health care regulations.
Can you guarantee eligibility or that I can keep my doctor?
No. Responsible guidance should never guarantee eligibility, price, or provider network without verification. We help you check requirements and providers before deciding.
Do you provide guidance in Spanish?
Yes. Guidance is available in both English and Spanish for individuals, families, and small businesses (minimum 10 employees).
